camping at Isla del Sol ( the isalnd of the sun) with our chilean music friends we met in La paz. this is where the incas believed the sun was born...very very cold and icy, with no hint of the sun!!!

a fancxy breakfast at an ecotourism campsite we stayed at in the mountains of sorata. we stayed for a week in our tent...very peaceful!

WE enjoyed our time in Bolivia, although we found it very tough. there was quite alot of animosity from the bolivian people towards tourists and we didn't feel very welcome. It was also very difficult to find any vegetarian food!! but we loved finding amazing alpaca clothing and silver jewellery and other beautiful handicrafts for our stall!! on the whole though, we were excited to head off on the next big journey to Argentina, to meet up with our dear friends that we met in Mexico who live in Cordoba, the centre of the country and then other dear friends who we met in australia...who live way down south in the cold patagonian town of Bariloche...lots of travel ahead of us!!
