After feeling cooped up in our tiny Christmas Market stall in Germany in the freezing winter, we decided we needed to set our sights on open spaces and feel the freedom of being on the road again in Australia. We decided to head west from the Blue Mountains out to Broken Hill, Cobar and on towards
South Australia to visit from dear friends from when we lived in Adelaide. We had an amazing time, spent time on pristine beaches, camped at lakes in the middle of the desert, picked fresh tomatoes from our Italian friends' organic garden and just generally had a ball! We ended the trip by passing through Victoria to go to one of our favourite summer festivals Rainbow Serpent Festival and celebrating life with kindred spirits~
Overall, the whole road trip was a breath of fresh air (actually it was boiling hot the whole time) but it was just what we needed to restore our souls~~
